Hosting a trainee is a way of bring the ‘world to your farm’ and experiencing another culture without leaving home.
As a host family not only are you giving a young person the opportunity to work in a different country, but you are helping them to expand their horizons by living a different culture, learning the language, meeting new friends and sharing of ideas. Trainees are available for agricultural, horticultural, agri-mix, hort-mix or home management placements. It takes a special type of family to accept a trainee into their home and treat them as a family member, but the rewards of hosting lasts a lifetime with friendships made from around the world.
