AgriVenture is an awesome introduction to a new culture and a different working world. A farm work placement will allow you to experience real life in another country, rather than just as a tourist. With AgriVenture you could really land on your feet! We offer a unique opportunity for young people aged between 18 and 30 to travel and work on a farm, in horticulture or home management in Australia, Canada, USA, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Germany, UK or Japan. The non-profit membership organisation has been operating farm work placements since 1965. Around 30,000 young people have been hosted on one of our programmes. The experience you gain on your farm work placement provides an excellent basis on which to choose or continue your career. We aim to provide you with an AgriVenture programme and an experience that money can't buy. "Wow! Canada! I finally made it. It only took a few years of saving, five months of planning, 26 hours of travel and a few frayed hairs. When I arrived at Toronto Int. Airport, I was met by my hostess Christa Eckert. She is the owner of a fairly large (for the area) dairy and cropping enterprise. We milk 225 purebred Holstein cows, three times a day in a double eight parlour. When I arrived I had no expectations of what life would be like on a farm where all the calves, heifers and cows are kept in barns year round. I soon found that there is a lot of work involved!"
